Work context
CESVI has been working in Palestine since 1994, and it has developed over the years an expertise in the area of water, Solid Waste Management, sanitation and environment through the implementation of projects in the field, establishing partnerships with relevant actors in the sector and thanks to active participation in the WASH cluster.
CESVI is currently implementing projects in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.
CESVI is looking for a dynamic and experienced candidate for the position of Logistic Officer , duty station in West Bank – Bethlehem area, to provide support to the field teams in the areas of logistics, procurement, fleet management, and premises management.
Main Tasks & Duties
- Provides efficient support and ensure the success of overall procurement activities and logistic, while providing efficient use of resources
- Ensures the procurement of goods and services necessary for the implementation of the project. It also provides strategic and technical guidance throughout the procurement cycle,
- Supports the technical staff in the preparation and publication of tenders for the selection procedure of suppliers
- Maintains an up-to-date list of suppliers and market analysis.
- Drafts, amends and integrates contracts with suppliers, lease contracts, hire contracts, fuel and vehicle contracts, etc.
- Provides more generalised assistance and logistical services to staff implementing projects in the field.
- Analyses and processes requests for procurement of goods and services, including office supplies etc., to ensure compliance with CESVI's standard logistical guidelines.
- Supervises all logistical arrangements ensuring adequate quality control, compliance, monitoring and verification of deliveries, as well as timely delivery to the end user.
- Regularly maintains and updates the inventory of resources, e.g. deliveries of desktops, laptops and related accessories, scanners, printers, copiers, etc. With the proven ability to manage of IT equipment.

- Degree in supply chain management/business administration or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position at the United Nations/OING/NGOs.
- Good organisational skills and ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with staff, partners, governmentgovernment officials, donors and other relevant stakeholders.
- Creative and flexible with problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and diplomacy.
- Ability to present oneself confidently in front of senior officials.
- Confident and competent in the use of MS Office, knowledge of Sindhi, Balochi and English language (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Excellent knowledge of English language, written and spoken
The assignment is a full-time post expected to start 1st of September. Subject to satisfactory performance, the period of employment may be extended.
