HPCE strategy, activities and monitoring:
  • Actively contribute to the design/adaptation of the HPCE strategy / workplan.
  • Lead and follow up on the implementation of the HPCE strategy / workplan, according to the chronogram.
  • Support participatory approaches and regular patient/community consultations before and during implementation of the HPCE strategy.
  • Organizing health awareness sessions for MSF's medical and non-medical staff
  • Support in the design of health education materials and participatory methods, applying the right process (pretesting, validation of content, translation).
  • Contribute to rapid assessments and surveys.
  • Actively support in the systematic collection, encoding and reporting of community feedback and rumours.
  • Support the implementation of community-based surveillance (data collection, active case finding, tracing, linkage to care.
  • Responsible for the planning and organization of community meetings (in collaboration with HPCE Manager).
  • Contribute to the community mapping.
  • Monitoring: Ensure the availability of the data collection tools; the data encoding in the data base and the quality check.
  • Monitoring: Contribute to the analysis of the monitoring data and look for adjustement (in collaboration with HPCE manager), monthly reporting (MMR, sitrep,…).
Team management:
  • Contribute to evaluation of the HP team (with the HPCE manager).
  • Contribute to the development plan for the HP team.
  • Training: Contribute to the needs assessment, design and implementation of training for the HP team, in collaboration with the HPCE manager.
  • Organize regular and systematic supervision of the HP activities and provide on the job-coaching.
  • Ensure the planning and practical organisation of the activities for the HP team (HP roaster).
  • Ensure the organisation of regular HP team meetings.
Considering the future possibility for expanding the scope of project activities and the context, the role of the HP Supervisor position will require flexibility.  
In addition to the main accountabilities mentioned above, the main activities for the current set-up:
  1. Strengthen community engagement in water supply activities
Proactively support and complement the work of the water-trucking supervisor by reinforcing two-way communication with the community, enhancing community ownership, and designing and implementing an effective feedback and complaint mechanism tailored to water distribution activities.
 
  1. Lead the hygiene promotion strategy
In collaboration with the WatSan team, design and roll out a structured hygiene promotion component that includes appropriate tools for community engagement, monitoring, and evaluation. Ensure that the hygiene activities are culturally relevant, technically sound, and respond to the community's expressed needs and practices.
 
  1. Support the development of sanitation and vector control activities
Co-lead the planning, community engagement, and monitoring of sanitation and vector control initiatives. Ensure that these activities are not only technically implemented but also socially accepted and supported by the community through participatory approaches.
 
  1. Ensure monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement
Implement and regularly update tools for monitoring community-related WASH activities. Analyze feedback, participation rates, and behavioral trends to independently propose data-driven improvements to hygiene, sanitation, water distribution, and vector control interventions.
 
  1. Reinforce the integration of soft and hardware components of WASH
Act as a bridge between the existing technical (engineering) team and the community, ensuring that civil works and technical interventions are informed by community needs, accessible to beneficiaries, and accompanied by appropriate awareness-raising and accountability mechanisms.
 
  1. Institutional representation
Represent the WatSan team in external meetings with community leaders, partners, and local authorities, ensuring that community engagement is mainstreamed across external coordination efforts.
Participate in regular internal meetings within our medical department.
 
  1. Reporting
Produce timely and analytical bi-weekly situation reports that include community feedback, activity outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
Ensure the regular update of monitoring tools, especially those related to the soft components of WASH.
 
  1. Advocate for community needs & rights
Actively contribute to the development of MSF’s advocacy strategy on WASH, ensuring that community voices are represented and that gaps in access, inclusion, or dignity are documented and reported.
 
  1. Participate in WASH needs assessments
Actively participate in community WASH needs assessments. Be able to translate these findings into relevant, participatory and inclusive interventions.

متطلبات الوظيفة

Education

Desirable: bachelor diploma in social sciences, social work, behavioural sciences, public health, community health, nursing. Essential: secondary school diploma.

Experience

Essential: At least 2 years’ experience in: • health promotion  • team management experience  • program implementation Experience qualitative methodology is highly desirable.

Languages                      

Mission language and local language essential

Knowledge

Basic competencies in word and excel are essential.
