Main Purpose:

The Field Officer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of field assistants and social workers during the implementation of the project. The role includes overseeing data collection and beneficiary verification processes, ensuring that field operations are conducted efficiently, ethically, and in line with the project’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise field assistants and social workers in all field activities.

Coordinate and oversee data collection and verification of target groups, ensuring alignment with project selection criteria.

Ensure proper implementation of field tasks such as distributions, assessments, and follow-up activities.

Monitor field progress daily and report any operational, security, or programmatic issues to the Program Manager.

Support the Program Manager by sharing field observations and needs assessments conducted by social workers, contributing to the design of appropriate interventions.

Participate in identifying emerging community needs and suggest relevant project ideas or adjustments based on evidence from the field.

Document and report on local challenges, risks, or feedback from beneficiaries.

Ensure the quality and accuracy of beneficiary data and activity records.

Maintain effective communication between the field team and project management.

Contribute to the planning and adjustment of field activities in line with project goals and community priorities.

Train and mentor field assistants and social workers as needed to ensure efficient performance.

Ensure all field operations comply with organizational safety and ethical standards.

Provide accurate and timely updates and field reports.

Ensure responsible use of organizational resources and professional conduct at all times.

متطلبات الوظيفة

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, development, public administration) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in field operations, including supervision of field teams and data collection.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in beneficiary identification and community engagement is an asset.
  • Fluent in Arabic; English proficiency is highly preferred and desirable.
  • Familiarity with data collection tools and basic IT skills (MS Word, Excel, email).
  • Ability to work in difficult conditions and under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project locations.
