Security Assistant - Ad-hoc support
To support ACF operations in Gaza, the Security Team needs ad-hoc support to perform specific tasks on a weekly/monthly basis.
The Daily Worker Security Assistant will be responsible for:
1. Every Saturday, from 7h to 15h: tracking of staff in the field, and tracking social media activity to identify military operations that may affect ACF activities
2. On a monthly basis: inventory of First Aid Kits, check of fire extinguishers, etc.
3. On a ad-hoc basis: covering for the Security Assistant's basic duties when on leaves - including close tracking of field teams and updating of security Maps.
PROFILE CONCLUSIONS (main knowledge/abilities this position)
Tasks:
- Coordinating with the Program staff to clarify any blurry point related to the movement plan
- Placing notification requests for all ACF movements on the ECP platform - using the movement plan filled out by the Program teams - and drawing on the ECP platform the routes to be taken by the drivers. Careful attention to details is required.
- Drawing all these routes on Google Map as well, and exporting a KML file to be shared in a dedicated WhatsApp group with ACF staff and drivers.
- Posting a breakdown of the following day's movement in that dedicated WhatsApp group.
Objective 2: Coordination with and briefing of the drivers
Tasks:
- Regularly meeting with the drivers to discuss the most appropriate and practicable routes.
- Briefing the drivers on the road to take in the morning before they depart, according to the roads that were drawn on the ECP platform.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree
Academic training
- Competent at Excel – Mandatory
- Competent at Google Earth or My Maps – (Mandatory)
- Knowledgeable at QGIS – Highly desirable
Desirable specific/technical knowledge:
- 1 year in a similar role
- Ideally with an NGO or the UN
- Experience in emergency WASH interventions is strongly preferred.
Previous experience required:
-Dynamism and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
- Strong commitment to honesty and humanitarian principles.
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment,
- High levels of adaptability and teamwork spirit.
