Warehouse Keeper

The warehouse keeper daily worker is responsible for ensuring the management of the stocks at base level when the Warehouse keeper is not available.   

PROFILE CONCLUSIONS (Main knowledge/Abilities this position)

Objective 1: Ensure management of the base’s stocks 

 Responsible for

• Ensure follow-up of stocks and pay particular attention to use-by dates of food and medicine
• Can conduct inventory
• Keep all documents related to stock management up to date
• Make sure the physical check matches with the Bin Cards, Stock Cards and Stock follow up
• Keep the stock organized with identified area for each department, transit and preparation area.

Objective 2: Manage cargos and shipments

Responsible for

• Examine the deliveries: quantity, quality, documentation
• Complete the various dispatch documents
• Ensure safe preparation and loading of cargo into transportation vehicle
• Make sure all documents are dully filled and signed when transmitted to the carrier
• Check if all parcels are well made to protect the items during transportation
• Inform consignee in advance of the shipment and the size of it

The warehouse keeper daily worker is responsible for ensuring the management of the stocks at base level when the Warehouse keeper is not available.  

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

- Academic training: 

Bachelor's degree  

- Desirable specific/technical knowledge:

 Stock management

- Previous experience required: 

• 1 year in a similar role
• Ideally with an NGO or the UN
• Experience in stock management 

- Personal characteristics required: 

• Dynamism and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
• Strong commitment to honesty and humanitarian principles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment,
• High levels of adaptability and teamwork spirit.
• Has already manage a small team

- Languages:

• Arabic: required
• English: upper intermediate or above

- Required computer programs:

Advanced command of Windows, Office including Excel
