Position: PSS Facilitator (4 vacancies)

Location: South & North Gaza, Palestine
Salary: ILS 4,000 per month

With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. About the Role
MAP is looking for PSS Facilitators to provide immediate Psychological First Aid (PFA) to individuals and groups during crisis situations, with care and sensitivity to their needs. The role includes leading recreational activities to support emotional well-being and resilience, following MAP’s guidelines. Facilitators will work with other PSS team members to plan and carry out activities that meet the community’s needs, keep records of their work, and give feedback to help improve services. They will also take part in regular training and follow ethical standards, especially around confidentiality and protecting vulnerable people.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. They have previous experience in providing psychosocial support and understand the mental health and protection needs of communities affected by conflict. They demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills in Arabic (English is a plus), possess basic knowledge of MHPSS principles, and engage effectively with communities. They maintain accurate documentation, use computer tools confidently, and work well both independently and in a team. The candidate commits to MAP’s values, follows safeguarding policies, and works with respect, integrity, and inclusivity in challenging environments.
