I-Background on ACTED
ACTED is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in May 2007. ACTED is currently implementing projects covering multiple humanitarian / development sectors, funded by of a variety of international donors, which aim at protecting vulnerable households and strengthening civil society actors across the oPt. ACTED oPt offers a dynamic, rigorous and knowledge-orientated working environment.

In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of communities, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza. ACTED currently seeks an Information Management Officer for its humanitarian operations in Gaza.

III-Position Profile
Data Quality and Management
- Support SM teams’ day-to-day management of data and processes, ensuring consistency and quality of data from regular information collection (e.g., community-level reporting, service mapping, service monitoring, site assessment, site profile, CFM).
- Lead data management using the Zite Manager platform.
- Support Distribution teams by compiling and managing distribution-related data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct data cleaning, update and maintain databases across SM and Distribution teams.
- Collaborate with SM and Distribution Project Managers and field teams to design and improve tools and processes.
- Build data collection tools using Kobo or paper forms as required.
- Build capacities in information management of SM and distribution teams.
GIS
- Perform GIS data processing and mapping for both SM and Distribution activities to support data visualization and spatial analysis.
- Collaborate with the Acted Project Managers on creation of maps and spatial products to inform programming and reporting.
- Ensure GIS outputs are integrated into regular reports and shared with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Analysis, Reporting, and Communication
- Analyze data as needed and work with SM and Distribution teams to ensure information is used to inform programming.
- Produce regular outputs and reports/factsheets for program teams, submit reporting to clusters, and share internally with relevant departments.
- Design and produce data visualization products for internal and external use, including maps, dashboards, factsheets.
Training and system developments
- Conduct capacity building of SM and Distribution teams in data collection, management, and GIS skills as needed.
- Participate in training/coaching community committees to engage them in data collection on site gaps and needs.
- Support the development and improvement of IM and GIS systems, tools, and workflows to strengthen data quality, accessibility, and use across SM and Distribution activities.

IV- Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with a critical thinking mindset are highly desired.
- University degree in a relevant subject is preferred
- At least 3 years’ experience in an information management role.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an NGO is preferred
- Proficient in use of Kobo for mobile/tablets data collection.
- Ability to use GIS software (QGIS, ArcPRO, etc.);
- Excellent IM software skills, including Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Excellent team-working and communication skills;
- Excellent written and oral English and Arabic skills;
- Good capacity to plan, prioritize, and multi-task;
- Knowledge of multi-sectoral humanitarian response, including SM, Protection, WASH, Shelter, and emergency distribution is beneficial.
