The Head of Career Service is a mid-level leadership role responsible for driving graduate employment outcomes by building and nurturing strategic hiring partnerships—locally and internationally. The role focuses on ensuring student readiness, expanding employer networks, and aligning academy output with market needs. Success is defined by the quality and volume of employment opportunities created and the placement rate of graduates.

Your Responsibilities:

1. Partnership Development & Employer Relations

• Identify, prioritize, and build partnerships with tech companies and hiring organizations—both locally and internationally—with a focus on scalable hiring or internship pipelines.

• Design and lead outreach campaigns targeting companies open to hiring remote tech talent from Palestine or via fully managed services with Axsos AG.

• Create and pitch partnership proposals (e.g., “train-to-hire” models, internship tracks, trial periods) tailored to employer needs.

• Organize and lead employer-facing events: hiring days, info sessions, mock interviews, and tech talks.

• Cultivate relationships with Axsos Academy alumni and leverage them for employer referrals or feedback loops.

2. Graduate Employability & Market Readiness

• Define and maintain clear KPIs for student readiness (e.g., attendance, technical progress, soft skills, English, and mindset).

• Conduct regular check-ins with students in advanced program stages to evaluate hiring readiness.

• Coordinate with instructors and readiness officers to identify gaps in employability and deliver timely interventions.

• Approve CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and portfolios for students entering the job search phase.

• Supervise job-tracking systems and ensure active job-seeking support for each graduate.

• Support interview preparation, job negotiations, and onboarding processes.

3. Career Curriculum Oversight

• Continuously improve the Career Readiness Roadmap in collaboration with the Student Readiness Officer.

• Ensure that Thinkific and offline content related to career readiness is up to date, practical, and aligned with current market standards.

• Oversee execution of mock interviews, freelancing workshops, personal branding sessions, and success mindset training.

4. Talent Platform & CRM Ownership

• Own the job-matching platform (e.g., Coveto) and ensure:

o Regular updates of graduate profiles and skills.

o Timely communication between employers and candidates.

• Maintain structured records in CRM, including:

o Company contacts.

o Hiring history.

o Partnership status and documentation.

• Regularly analyze CRM data for performance insights and identify areas for system enhancement.

5. Cross-Departmental Collaboration

• With Teaching & Tech Teams:

o Identify and communicate market-relevant technical gaps in students.

o Sync on progress tracking and flag at-risk students for interventions.

• With Admissions:

o Share job market insights and hiring success data to refine applicant targeting.

• With Marketing:

o Provide employer testimonials, success stories, and KPIs to support campaigns.

o Align messaging with the Academy’s impact and hiring outcomes.

• With Finance:

o Support employment verification for scholarship funders (e.g., Tasdeer, HEAL).

o Track ROI of placements and maintain employer agreements/MoUs.

6. Data, Impact Reporting & Strategic Planning

• Deliver quarterly reports on:

o Placement rates (per cohort & program).

o Employer engagement metrics.

o Success story updates.

• Analyze hiring trends to influence training, marketing, and funding priorities.

• Support fundraising or expansion efforts with data, case studies, and partnership leads.

7. Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Own the hiring KPI for the Academy and work to continuously increase graduate placement rates.

• Lead with initiative—proposing pilots, experiments, and outreach strategies to break into new markets.

• Ensure all files, databases, and documentation are up to date and accessible in shared systems (e.g., Confluence).

• Support internal alignment with weekly updates and process improvements.

Your Profile:

  • 3–7 years of experience in recruitment, talent partnerships, or tech hiring—preferably with international exposure.
  • Strong understanding of the tech job market (especially Full Stack, Data, QA).
  • Demonstrated ability to open and close partnerships with hiring entities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and CRM/data management skills.
  • Growth mindset and passion for youth empowerment and education.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic; other languages are a plus.
