New Admin Manager for the Danish House in Palestine
As Admin Manager in the Danish House in Palestine, you are responsible for overseeing daily Admin and HR procedures in the organization. You are responsible for ensuring that all employees live up to the procedures and are properly trained and informed.
The DHIP Operations Manual will be the guideline for your work, and you will be responsible for maintaining the tools and procedures for the house. You will work closely together with the Director as part of the daily management of the organization.

The Danish House in Palestine (DHIP) is an independent organization based in Ramallah, Palestine. DHIP work on a cross-cultural mandate. Our board, staff, volunteers, partners, visitors and project participants represent both Danes and Palestinians.
The vision of the Danish House in Palestine is to further the mutual understanding and respect between Danes and Palestinians.
The Danish House in Palestine's mission is to create opportunities for cultural, educational and professional exchange and cooperation between Danes and Palestinians at individual and institutional level.
-Manage all daily admin & HR issues of the Danish House
-Responsible for all issues related to procurement, inventory and insurance
-Maintain all administrative procedures and tools in the Danish House
-Coordinate all legal issues with the DHIP Lawyer and the Director
-Assist the Director in serving and assisting the DHIP board when necessary
-Take part in selected DHIP events and activities outside normal working hours
You must have completed your degree and have at least five years of working experience in HR and Administration at a senior level. International organization experience is an advantage.
-Good organizational skills
-Experience with project management is an added value
-Experience in budget management is a requirement
-Proven staff management is a requirement
-Fluency in written and spoken English is required
The Danish House in Palestine has nine Danish and Palestinian employees and two interns, who work closely together. You must be able to engage in a respectful collaboration across differences in norms and culture.
You must represent the organization in a number of different contexts from meetings of the Danish Representative Office to cultural events around the West Bank. You must be flexible and able to adapt yourself depending on what the situation requires.
Wages and working conditions
Start date: November 15, 2016
Contract: 1 year with possibility of extension
