Job Description
Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Risk & Compliance Coordinator position is to prepare NRC Palestine for audit processes and promote compliance and adherence to NRC policies, procedures, and relevant donor guidelines, as well as to support the Risk & Compliance Manager with tasks relating operational risk management within NRC’s framework.

Specific responsibilities
- Coordinate the response to external audits from donors, regulatory bodies, and third-party organizations.
- Update the recommendations tracker with external audit recommendations and follow up on updates from other recommendations owners.
- Prepare Ready-To-Audit (RTA) folders for all NRC Palestine projects, with focus on high-risk projects.
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update NRC Palestine audit calendar.
- Perform periodical spot-checking on processes that can be subject to audits and report them to the R&C Manager.
- Participate in the due diligence checking for implementing partners in Palestine to ensure compliance with NRC minimum requirements for partnerships.
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance requirements, informed by audit reports and financial reviews, including NRC’s SSD procedure requirements.
- Support in project proposal risk annexes/sections elaboration when required by the Risk & Compliance Manager.
- Support in internal fact-finding specific tasks when required by the Risk & Compliance Manager.
- Support on the implementation and follow up of mitigation measures of corruption risk and other high-risk issues within the R&C unit, as requested by the Risk & Compliance Manager.
- Provide training for implementing partners about minimum donor requirements related to audits such as supporting documentation.
- Review implementing partners supporting documents regularly to ensure compliance with donor standards and minimize disallowed cost.
- Support the Risk & Compliance Manager for Spot Checks in Area Offices.
- Support the Risk & Compliance Manager with fact-finding related tasks in a need basis.
- Support the Risk & Compliance Manager with proposal-related tasks and partnership’s due diligence revision.

Qualifications
Generic professional competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant university field (economics, administration, law or similar)
- Knowledge and skills in the international regulatory context applicable for INGOs.
- Knowledge and skills in any of the following: safeguarding, accountability to affected populations or Code of Conduct related matters.
Context/Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience from working in compliance, risk management and auditing functions or minimum 3 years of experience from working in coordinator positions in support functions (Finance, logistics) in the humanitarian sector
- Certified or has good knowledge on Internal Audits.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in Arabic, both written and verbal.
