Position Title: Trainer/Field Monitor (Full time 100%)
Place: El Amal Rehabilitation Society – Rafah
Reports To: Project Coordinator (PC)
Period: 6.5 months with possible extension

 
Background
El Amal Rehabilitation Society – Rafah (ERSR) is a civil non-profit organization established in 1991 with Ministry of Interior registration number 5058. Our society is NGO leader working with distinction in the field of development, education, health, culture, training and rehabilitation in order to ensure a better life for marginalized groups, especially the deaf and enhance their capabilities based on qualified professional that use better techniques to build a generation capable of contributing to the building society , it also aspire to distinctive and active participation in building a civil society in which deaf people enjoy full rights in the Palestinian society . 
 
Job Summary:
ERS in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS, starts to implement Envision Gaza 2020 Project (USAID-funded project) which aims to support Palestinian families in Gaza become more resilient to everyday stresses and rebound more quickly from crises, including COVID-19., and (2) connecting unemployed participants with on-the-job training opportunities with host employers. This includes 3-month unskilled or low-skilled workers placements and/or 4-month internships or apprenticeships for skilled university or vocational graduates, respectively.
El Amal is seeking qualified and experienced Trainer/field Monitor to implement program key activities.
 
S/he will be reporting directly to the PM and work on all program activities. 
Key Responsibilities:
Identification and recruitment of beneficiaries:  
  • Connect/coordinate with relevant community centers, associations, and NGOs to outreach activities of the project. 
  • Conduct joint on-the-field visits, interview and select potential beneficiaries based on vulnerability criteria as defined from SYFS and CRS.
  • Organize “orientation” sessions with selected beneficiaries to make sure of their level of commitment and self-discipline as well as his/her willingness to grow with his/her activity throughout their internships.
Delivery of - Job Readiness - training
  • Plan  and organize training sessions timelines.   Deliver basic management and complementary trainings(Job Readiness Training )) to selected beneficiaries, - The training sessions will be delivered either virtually or in- person according to the pandemic situation progress
  • Ensure that beneficiaries understand and implement training contents and acquired knowledge through regular and individual follow-up field visits, and mentorship visits during their internships.
  • Maintain high quality of training.
  •  
  • Jointly develop a relevant communication strategy to outreach the potential beneficiaries to project services. 
  • Jointly implement and coordinate monthly activities with project teams and relevant stakeholders
  • Jointly assess the specific training needs. 
Monitoring, Evaluation and Knowledge Management
  • Identify and report success stories for communication purposes.
  • .
  • Responsible for the supervision, follow-up and monitoring of program activities in the field as assigned by the PM.
  • Coordinate the daily progress of the program activities, Conduct site visits and apply field visits data collection tools and provide regular on-site supervision of activities implementation, and apply field visits data collection tools 
  • Any other tasks assigned by project coordinator.

متطلبات الوظيفة
Academic and Professional Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, or another related field.
  2. Three years of professional experience in project management, preferably with experience in working with NGO's.
  3. Knowledge of livelihoods programming, with focus on Income Generating Activities, internship, leadership, entrepreneurship and business development
  4. Good report writing skills is an asset.
  5. Experience as personal / motivational coach/mentor, preferably with heterogeneous groups of people.
  6. Experience in working with people at risk of social exclusion and/or with disadvantaged communities.
  7. Past experience in the business sector is an asset.
  8. Additional experience in dealing / closely working with beneficiaries is preferred.
  9. Arabic compulsory, at least pre-intermediate level of English required.
  10. Very Good knowledge of Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  11. Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality.
