Position Title: Project Manager
Location: Tulkarem and Jenin
Report to: Humanitarian and Emergency Program Manager
Duration: 5 months (with the possibility of extension)
MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian non-profit organization, established in Jerusalem in January 1989. Relying on a human rights-based approach, community partnerships, and active participation, MA’AN works to enhance the resilience, empowerment, and realization of the rights of those most in need, the poor and marginalized groups and individuals, as well as unleash their latent capacities to enhance their active participation in sustainable development and their abilities to respond to and recover from crises.
About the project:
In partnership with DanChurchAid, MA’AN is implementing “Emergency WASH and EORE Awareness Support for Displaced and Conflict-Affected Households in the Northern West Bank.” project that aims at providing the internally displaced individuals in Jenin and Tulkarem with access to WASH services and EORE awareness sessions.
MA'AN seeks to hire a competent (Project Manager) responsible for leading the planning and implementation of risk education and WASH activities in Tulkarem and Jenin. The project Manager will oversee the risk education teams, WASH interventions, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure the program's strategic alignment and effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of MA’AN risk education and WASH activities in Tulkarem and Jenin.
- Manage and supervise the risk education teams, including Master Trainers and EORE/CPP Facilitators.
- Develop and update the risk education strategy and ensure its alignment with the overall humanitarian response and inclusion.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, international organizations, and community leaders, to enhance the effectiveness of risk education programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the risk education activities.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on the risk education activities and their outcomes.
- A knowledge of the current EORE/CPP context in the West Bank.
- Ability to follow up with the Mine Action stakeholders with updated info and meetings attendance.
- Ensure the integration of Protection, Gender, and Inclusion (PGI) in all risk education activities.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related field. A master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing education or risk education programs in conflict-affected areas.
- Proven experience in project management and coordination.
- Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and the specific needs of vulnerable populations in conflict zones.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
