Nutrition Assistant

Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a global humanitarian organization, established in 1979 in France, with a mission to eradicate hunger and malnutrition worldwide. Operating in over 45 countries, ACF provides lifesaving emergency support and long-term solutions. ACF is working in Gaza since 20 years.

The primary role of the Nutrition Assistant is to support ACFs nutrition activities with special focus on the prevention and treatment of malnutrition. This involves the screening of children under 5 and pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as the facilitation of distribution of nutrition supplies, providing key messages on the use of supplements ant therapeutic food, prevention and treatment of malnutrition, adequate infant and young child feeding- as well as Hugine practices. Additionally, Nutrition assistants will ensure data collection during field activities. This position will be supported by the Nutrition Officer, the Nutrition Head of Project and the Nutrition Program Manager.
