Position Title: Medical Project Assistant

Reporting to: Programmes Coordinator

Location: Gaza city & North of Gaza Strip

Closing Date: 7th May 2025

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for Medical Project Assistant, to be based at our Gaza office Palestine in South & Middle of Gaza Strip.

CONDITION:

It is a local Contract, for this role you must have the right to work in
This role is fixed-term with a possibility of extension depending on organizational needs and the office expansion

Main Purpose:

To support and coordinate the implementation of Human Appeal health sector projects, including mobile medical points, fixed clinincs, and health outreach interventions.

The role requiers direct oversight of health activities, field monitioring of services, coordination with healthcare stakeholders, and active support in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities.

The assistant will supervise a small team and ensure the delivery of timely, high-quality and safe healthcare services while upholding Human Apeal's Satndards, humantarian principles, and health protocols

Accountabilities:

Coordinate and supervise the implementation of health projects, ensuring targets, timelines, and quality standrds are met.
Manage weekly medical service plans applied by partners,cilnic schedules, and field team deployment.
Enusure compliance with health protocols, patient safeguarding, infection prevention and control (IPC), and Human Appeal /Donor quality standards.
Supervise 2 field staff and health volunteers, ensuring efficient task delegation and field discipline.
Liaise with local health partners to facilitate smoooth project delivery and resolve operational barriers.
Support MEAL processes, including health data collection, service satisfaction surveys, patient feedback mechanisms, and verification exercises.
Prepare accurate and timely health service reports, field monitoring updates, and incident reports for management.
Monitor Inventory and usage of medicines, medical equipment, and supplies, flagging procurment needs proactively.
Participate in after-action reviews, lessons learned discussions, and health program improvement planning.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Management, or related field from and accredited university.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably within the humanitarian or INGO sector.

Computer Skills: Advanced computer literacy skills

Language: English and Arabic a must.
