The Palestine Techno Park (PTP) is a non-profit organization established in 2016 and is a member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), a leading global network for science parks and areas of innovation. The PTP aims to help knowledge-based and technology enterprises to grow and operate successfully locally, regionally and globally by creating a national infrastructure, business environment and culture and by helping these enterprises seed, grow and commercialize business opportunities. The PTP is seeking energetic talent to fill a “Full-time/Part-time/Consultant” Sales and Marketing position at its temporary office at Birzeit University. The Sales and Marketing manager is the sales manager who will also handle the marketing duties the PTP needs. The PTP programs are based on five pillars:
1-Establishing a must-have and essential infrastructure to enable growth and clustering in the technology sector by providing commercial offices services that is culturally rewarding to innovation and technology companies
2-Changing the brand and image of the technology sector to attract foreign direct investment and integrate with global business value chains
3-Supporting technology entrepreneurship programs, launching new technology start-ups, social enterprises and facilitating the development of new products
4-Conducting technology transfer and commercialization activities of research and development whether at universities or industry and take them to markets
5-Bridging the knowledge gap and the gap between private sector & academic in capacity building, technology and innovation
This position will report directly to the PTP CEO. She/he should have experience, knowledge initiative and drive to be a forceful champion in the organization
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
1-Identify market segments, niches, and potential clients, consumers and competitors.
2-Develop familiarity with PTP clients and programs and familiarity with other stakeholders’ programs
3-Develop new business by marketing PTP products and services supported be ongoing activities that would promote the PTP products and services
4-Work with in-house staff or contractors to help develop any marketing collateral (presentations, brochures, direct mail and email releases, newsletters, sell sheets, brochures, catalogs and order forms, etc), advertising, promotions, social media and public relations activities
5-Coordinates the execution of promotional materials, including but not limited to organizing, collating, binding, etc. with a creative approach to new campaigns.
6-Recommend trade shows the PTP attends, which gifts to pass out at the booth, help decide if the PTP hosts a function and develop other promotions to keep the PTP in front of its targeted audience
7-Learns market trends whether directly from customers or reading industry publications, visiting industry websites, attending conventions, conferences and trade shows.
8-Perform comparative market analysis to estimate PTP real-estate property value
9-Assist the CEO in organizing for Advisory Boards meetings
Develop and review annual sales strategies and monitoring meeting the sales targets thereof. This includes setting sales goals for the PTP assets:
1-Attract technology company to rent available office space and related services at the Palestine – India Techno Park building,
2-Renting the Health Center,
3-Renting the Cafeteria, 4-Attracting developers to invest in constructing further buildings at the PTP in alignment with the PTP five pillars
5-Acquire community members whether entrepreneurs, freelancers, technologists and maintain relationship with members working at the PTP co-working space, accelerator and innovation labs
1-Prepare different types of reports addressing different stakeholders
2-Coordinate calendars and meetings
3-Create marketing and sales files and compliance documentation
4-Perform administrative duties such as typing, answering phones, copying, electronic communication, and report preparation
5-Provide PTP information and resources upon request in different format including presentations to potential clients
6-May perform other duties as assigned
We are looking for a person with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing and at least 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in the field of real-estate sales and marketing, preferably in the innovation and technology sector.
The candidate should have strong analytic, excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle stress and meet deadline; proficiency with MS software products; ability to work independently with minimal supervision and at the same time work with teams; excellent interpersonal skills with strong negotiation and writing skills; ability to implement strategies; be quick in decision-making to manage and meet PTP and customer needs.
Organized, passionate, use or adapt tactics, drive and inspire and is goal oriented. Always keeps the big picture in mind and demonstrates exemplary leadership.
The candidate should be focused, result oriented and well-connected individual capable of generating meaningful leads and business revenues.
The candidate should be pleasant, trustworthy also have thorough knowledge of sales and marketing functions, presentation skills.
Should be a go-getter, willing to take on complete responsibility for the accounts allotted.
The person we’re looking for must not only be operationally savvy, commercial aware for pricing and analyzing data, but also have a wide market view.
