Focusing on education, child protection, mental health, and psychosocial support, we strive to empower children and young people while enabling adults to bring about positive and lasting change in the lives of conflict-affected children and young people. War Child has been working in the oPt since 2006 and has offices in Jerusalem, Hebron, Nablus, and Gaza.
War Child is seeking a motivated Learning and Reporting Officer who can fulfill the following Job description and join the organization.
Job Summary/ Scope of Work:
Under the supervision of the Accountability, Learning, and Reporting Coordinator, the Learning and Reporting Officer supports War Child’s commitment to accountability, learning, and high-quality reporting in the oPt. The Officer assists in the operationalization of learning processes, manages regular reporting timelines, contributes to the collection and analysis of feedback from affected communities, and helps produce knowledge products that enhance program quality and donor engagement.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Job Responsibility 1: Learning and Knowledge Management (30%)
- Support the organization of reflection sessions, after-action reviews, and learning events under the guidance of the ALR Coordinator.
- Assist in documenting lessons learned, best practices, and key findings from program implementation.
- Collaborate with program teams to integrate learning into programmatic improvements and adaptive management processes.
- Maintain organized records of learning activities, tools, and outputs for easy access and dissemination.
- Support the M&E team in analyzing and summarizing data trends to contribute to evidence-based programming.
Job Responsibility 2: Narrative Reporting (30%)
- Support project leads in gathering required data and narratives for donor and internal reports.
- Draft sections of reports, success stories, and learning briefs under the supervision of the ALR Coordinator.
- Help maintain and update the internal reporting calendar to track deadlines and submissions.
- Review partner reports for consistency and completeness, flagging issues to the ALR Coordinator for follow-up.
- Ensure that report submissions meet internal formatting and quality standards.
Job Responsibility 3: Support to Accountability Systems (20%)
- Support documentation and data entry related to the Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism (FCRM).
- Ensure reporting includes relevant accountability and AAP insights.
- Support awareness-raising activities with communities regarding available feedback channels.
- Support the dissemination of information to communities about available feedback channels and War Child’s commitment to accountability.
Job Responsibility : Capacity Building and Support (20%)
- Participate in internal and external trainings related to accountability, learning, and reporting.
- Support capacity-building initiatives for local partners and War Child staff by preparing materials, assisting in training sessions, and documenting outcomes.

Knowledge and experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Communications, English Literature, Social Sciences, or a related field .
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in reporting, learning, communications, or MEAL roles within NGOs or development settings.
- Skills:
- Strong writing and editorial skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Familiarity with donor reporting formats (e.g., UNICEF, EU, ECHO, USAID).
- Good understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of visualization or design tools is a plus (Power BI, Canva, etc.).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with humanitarian principles and MEAL frameworks is an asset.
