Position: IPC Coordinator – (Hospital Based)

Type: Full-time/Fixed-Term Contract 

Location: South Gaza, Palestine 

Salary: ILS 6558.0 per Month

Reporting to: Medical Supervisor

About the Role:

MAP is seeking an IPC Coordinator at Nasser Hospital to lead efforts in strengthening infection prevention and control (IPC) systems. The role involves assessing IPC needs, implementing improvements, managing PPE and hygiene supplies, monitoring field practices, training hospital teams, and coordinating with the Ministry of Health and health partners. The coordinator will also contribute to technical reporting and IPC working groups.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or microbiology, with additional qualifications in IPC, public health, epidemiology, or infectious diseases considered an asset. They will have proven experience developing and implementing IPC protocols in clinical departments such as Internal Medicine, Surgery, and ICU, particularly in low-resource or emergency settings. A strong understanding of Ministry of Health protocols is essential, along with the ability to analyse data, develop action plans, and produce clear reports. The candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills, and be fluent in both English and Arabic.
