The Palestine Public Finance Institute (PPFI) was established in 2011 through a collaboration between the Palestinian Ministry of Finance and the French government. Operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Finance, the Institute focuses on building the capacities of professionals in the public finance sector, enhancing knowledge and skills, supporting reform projects within the Ministry, and raising awareness of public finance issues across various sectors.
PPFI’s mission centers on developing and enhancing competencies, expanding knowledge, and promoting principles of good governance. It achieves this by offering cutting-edge training programs and continuous learning opportunities to contribute to improved public finance management in Palestine.
Job Description:
PPFI is seeking to strengthen its team by hiring a Head of the Information Technology Section to oversee IT operations. Responsibilities include data center management, network security, server administration, technical support, Learning Management System (LMS) oversight, and more as listed below.
The position is based at the Institute’s headquarters in Al-Balou, Al-Bireh.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education & General Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or an equivalent IT-related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles and related processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in PC/Laptop maintenance.
- Solid experience with server systems (Windows and Linux).
- Strong knowledge of IP networks and general networking principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), especially Moodle.
- In-depth knowledge of network security, with a focus on Fortinet firewalls.
- Knowledge of databases is a plus.
