Position: Community Health Worker (2 vacancies)

Location: South Gaza, Palestine
Salary: ILS 3,935 per month
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
About the Role
- Supporting the implementation of MAP’s Disease Surveillance Assessment across target communities.
- Collecting and recording accurate health data using the EWARS mobile application and maintaining a paper-based backup.
- Monitoring disease trends and health indicators to help detect outbreaks early.
- Building trust and maintaining strong connections with community members, health authorities (including WHO, MoH, and UNRWA), and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a health-related degree with experience in community health work or data collection. They are proficient in using digital tools and mobile apps for disease surveillance and have strong communication, and interpersonal skills. Fluent in both Arabic and English, they are collaborative, detail-oriented, and familiar with disease surveillance protocols and methodologies is preferred.
