Sabeel is a grassroots Christian liberation theology movement based in Jerusalem, working to
promote justice, peace, and reconciliation in the Holy Land. Grounded in faith and committed to
nonviolence, Sabeel works ecumenically and with interfaith partners to challenge injustice and
stand with the oppressed.

Position Overview
Sabeel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of a
four-year interfaith initiative. The project aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, and shared
action among faith communities, promoting human rights, social justice, and mutual
understanding rooted in international law and the values of liberation theology.
Key Responsibilities
● Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the interfaith
project.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with interfaith partners, religious leaders, and civil
society organizations.
● Organize events, workshops, and visits that promote interfaith engagement and mutual
learning.
● Manage project timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
● Ensure the project implementation aligns with Sabeel’s mission, values, and theological
framework.
● Communicate regularly with stakeholders and contribute to public outreach, including
reports, articles, and social media updates.
● Represent Sabeel at interfaith forums and relevant local and international meetings.
● Support grant reporting and donor communication as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
● A university degree in theology, religious studies, social sciences, human rights, or a
related field.
● A strong commitment to interfaith dialogue, human rights, and the principles of
international law.
● Minimum of two years of relevant experience, ideally in interfaith work, civil society, or
community-based projects.
● Fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English (spoken and written).
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse
audiences and stakeholders.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain organized
documentation.
● Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
● Must hold a valid Jerusalem ID.
Preferred Qualities
● Familiarity with the socio-political and religious context.
● A background in ecumenical or liberation theology is an asset.
● Experience in advocacy, peacebuilding, or community organizing.
