Organization Description

Sustainable Change for Development (SCD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 2019 by a dedicated group of Palestinian civil society activists committed to driving democracy and development. Since its inception, SCD has focused on empowering individuals and communities through a blend of advocacy, capacity building, and psychosocial support, with an emphasis on encouraging political and social participation among Palestinian youth.

SCD is dedicated to fostering a healthy society where individuals recognize their values and rights, empowering them to shape a brighter future for Palestine. Based in the northern West Bank, SCD focuses on improving the lives of people in this region, which has been significantly impacted by occupation activities, frequent raids, and a scarcity of civil organizations. This lack of essential services negatively affects the daily lives of residents, making SCD’s role in the area critical. While its primary efforts are concentrated in the northern West Bank, SCD also extends its initiatives to other Palestinian areas, fulfilling its broader mission to support communities across Palestine. Through its work, SCD continues to drive positive change, offering hope and resilience to those most in need.
