Job Description
COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale, is an international Non-Governmental Organization operating in OPT since 2002. For the implementation of the EU Funded project entitled “Support to vocational opportunities for youth in East Jerusalem”, COOPI is looking for a local professionalas with administration/logistics background in Jerusalem for a position in East Jerusalem of log. Administrator
The candidate shall work under the Project Manager and supervision of the Country Administrator.
The position is a one-year fixed term contract, with possibility of extension based on the satisfaction of the performance. Starting date in June 2012.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure the logistics and administrative follow up of the project; (including monitoring of project’s
expenditures, preparation of equipment specification, collection of bids and preparation of procurements and purchasing orders)
-Management of accountancy software;
-Apply and supervise the correct use of administrative procedures;
-Prepare all documents and forms necessary for the implementation of the project;
-Translate documents from English into Arabic, and vice versa, as well as orally during meeting with
authorities, donors, beneficiaries, stakeholders;
-Translate documents from Hebrew into English and vice versa
-When needed and related to the position, visit and supervise the site activities and counterparts , to
ensure the accuracy of the accounting and the logistics;
-Provide solutions and define work processes for all planned interventions;
-Under indication of the PM and related to the position, coordinate the activities with the partners in
planning, monitoring, reporting tasks;
-Support the formulation of new project proposals, if necessary.
-Any other tasks related to administration and logistics and needed for the proper implementation of the project and the smooth running of COOPI Coordination office
Requirements
-University Degree in Economics, Administration or related fields or equivalent experience in similar
position
-Minimum of 2 years field working experience in similar positions and/or in similar sectors;
-Previous experience with an international NGO is an advantage;
-Strong supervisory skills and abilities, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
-Demonstrated capacity of teamwork and of coordination with the project related actors
-Excellent inter-personal and writing communication skills;
-Fluency in written and spoken English;
-High knowledge of computer language;
-Driving license
