Driver

JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the HR & Admin Coordinator and the overall guidance of the Security Advisor, the Driver provides reliable and safe driving services ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, sense of responsibility, and excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues. Instructions are normally given on an ad hoc basis; routine duties are carried out according to the established schedule; fulfillment of assignments is checked on a regular basis.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives for the Head of office and other staff.
- Operates motor vehicles for transporting pouches, mail, parcels, urgent faxes and/or passengers as required.
- Meets official personnel at the airport.
- Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks, oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc. performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean.
- Logs official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, greasing etc.
- Procures minor supplies and picks-up and delivers payment for telephone/ fax bills.
- Delivers of visa and other requests, renewal of car licenses/insurance.
- Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are followed in case of involvement in an car accident.
- Prepares and implements the daily vehicle movement schedule.
- Performs messenger service within the office or other related duties as required by supervisors.
Achievement Activities include:
- Services rendered in a timely and accurate manner and office car well maintained. Maintaining all the required documents/supplies up to date; including vehicle insurance, license, registration, logs, office directory, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle; MedGlobal rules and regulations including security and safety requirements duly ensured.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent is required (Diploma or certification in administration-related subjects or business administration would be an asset).
- Must possess a valid professional driving license for light and heavy-duty vehicles in Gaza.
- At least two years of professional experience in driving cars.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a challenging and potentially high-stress environment.
- Proficiency in Arabic; knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Commitment to MedGlobal’s mission and values.
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols.
- Experience working in conflict or post-conflict settings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to engage in fieldwork and outreach activities.
- Experience in computer/office productivity software will be an asset.
