Credit Officer

The Credit Officer is responsible for reviewing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial information, and assessing risks to support sound credit decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of credit andlending procedures, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Review credit applications and provide recommendations to the Credit Committee regarding approval or rejection.
2. Conduct regular reviews of credit policies and recommend updates or amendments as needed.
3. Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and relevant regulations.
4. Prepare and submit regular reports to the Palestine Monetary Authority and the Palestinian Capital Market Authority.
5. Prepare monthly reports detailing default rates.
6. Prepare AML reports and follow up on any related issues.
7. Prepare financial and demographic disclosures required by the Palestine Monetary Authority.
8. Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.

Knowledge & Experience:

1. A minimum of three years’ experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or in a related role.
2. Proven experience with lending procedures and financial products.
3. Strong analytical and financial assessment skills.

Skills & Abilities:

1. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
2. AML certificated officer
3. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
4. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Advanced analytical thinking.
7. Proficiency in IT systems and report generation.
8. Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
9. Familiarity with accounting information systems.
