The British Scientific School (BSS), a member of the Cambridge International Education network, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Counselor to join our team. As a key part of our student support system, the Social Counselor will work closely with students, parents, and staff to promote emotional well-being, academic success, and a safe, inclusive school environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or academic challenges.

•Collaborate with teachers and administrative staff to identify students in need of support.

•Facilitate conflict resolution and peer mediation.

•Organize awareness sessions and workshops on mental health, bullying prevention, and personal development.

•Maintain confidential records and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practice.

•Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support students’ growth and well-being.

•Promote a positive school climate aligned with BSS values and the Cambridge ethos.

Requirements:

•A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

•Proven experience in a school or youth-focused setting.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

•Fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.

•Knowledge of child protection policies and procedures.
