About The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM)
The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM) is a nonprofit organization started working in OPt the last 20 years, committed to helping communities around the world heal from population-wide trauma. Whether impacted by war, violence, climate-related disasters, public health crises, poverty, racism, or other widespread challenges, CMBM partners with local leaders to implement a trauma-relief model. This model integrates evidence-based self-care methodologies with the cultural values and wisdom of each community.
Through these partnerships, communities acquire sustainable tools to respond to trauma effectively, authentically, and with cultural sensitivity. To date, CMBM has trained over 7,000 individuals globally in mind-body healing techniques.
Mission
CMBM has been operational in Gaza since 2005. The organization is currently implementing an emergency response and recovery program across the central, southern, and northern areas of the Gaza Strip. This program focuses on two primary components:
- Direct provision of CMBM’s core health and mental/psychosocial support services.
- Reaching all individuals impacted by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Geographical Scope of Intervention
The Projects Manager will be based in Deir Al Balah (temporary), with regular travel to other areas across the Gaza Strip.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the Projects Manager is responsible for the overall implementation and daily management of all projects executed by CMBM in Gaza. This includes ensuring that project activities align with objectives, achieve target impact indicators, and comply with donor and organizational standards.
The role also involves strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, effective project team management, monitoring and evaluation, and timely, high-quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Implementation
- Lead project management under the CD’s supervision and in coordination with the Technical Manager.
- Develop and execute detailed work, activity, and monitoring plans to ensure efficient and impactful implementation.
- Ensure project goals and outcomes are met.
- Assist the CD in the development of new project proposals.
- Draft narrative reports in collaboration with the M&E Officer.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with IASC Guidelines, national/international standards, and CMBM internal policies.
- Optimize the use of resources through strategic planning and sound budgeting, with support from the Admin & Finance Manager.
Program Implementation
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to report on program progress.
- Provide technical and logistical support to the project team throughout all implementation phases.
- Support the selection, training, and capacity building of community counselors and local service providers.
- Establish and strengthen referral mechanisms in collaboration with other CMBM initiatives and partners.
Strategic Alignment
- Ensure all activities are in line with CMBM’s mission, policies, and core values.
- Oversee implementation of technical approaches in accordance with CMBM’s programmatic strategies.
- Identify and cultivate potential partnerships and collaborations.
- Participate in the development and refinement of CMBM Palestine’s strategic plan.
Representation & Communication
- Represent CMBM with local authorities, UN bodies, international NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Actively participate in relevant Gaza-based coordination networks and cluster meetings.
- Support advocacy efforts alongside the CD.
- Contribute to internal communications and organizational knowledge sharing.
Human Resources Management
- Supervise the project team, including development of clear Terms of Reference and roles.
- Foster team cohesion and active communication.
- Convene regular staff meetings and provide progress updates to the CD.
Finance, Administration & Logistics
- Work with the finance team to develop and monitor project budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial systems and donor reporting requirements.
- Oversee procurement processes, inventory, and logistics related to project operations.
- Ensure appropriate use and management of administrative tools and systems.
Security
- Support ongoing security management in compliance with CMBM’s security protocols.
- Report any security-related incidents or concerns to the team and CD.
- Manage overtime procedures, ensuring all requests receive prior approval from the CD.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience with (INGOs) managing humanitarian development programs, liaising with ministries, partners, INGOs and donors: in the field of mental health, child protection, and humanitarian response is a strong asset.
- Proven experience in project planning, proposal development, report writing, resource mobilization, networking, Partnership-building and working with NGOs.
- Ability to write reports and follow-up execution of projects’ activities.
- Knowledge of multi-sectoral humanitarian response, including community participation, Protection, MHPSS and emergency distribution is required.
- Previous relevant experience and extensive knowledge of project design and experience in project development (strong knowledge and skills in M&E is especially important).
- Experience undertaking field assessments; exploratory missions; baseline and endline surveys would be an asset.
- Previous relevant experience and excellent competencies in human resources management and good managerial skills.
- Strong MS Office and program management tools and procedures
- Budgetary control and financial management, including ability to read and understand financial data

- 8 months Contract to be renewed, based on the fund availability.
