Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing a technical cooperation project, “Sustainable Tourism Development in Jericho through Public-Private Partnership” in collaboration
with Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MOTA) and Jericho Municipality. The project invites qualified candidates to apply for the following 3 positions to be based at the Project office in Jericho.

Project Coordinator
Duties and responsibilities:
-Planning and implementation of activities, meeting, workshop and training (e.g. detailing action plan, budget monitoring and evaluation, drafting activity and financial reports in Arabic and English)
-Formation of Local Action Group and facilitation of community tourism activities with increased sense of ownership
-Active involvement of local business and private sector into the project activities
-Streamlining of the steps of actions and daft working manuals for JHTC operation and LAG activities including arranging proposal writing system for submission to JHTC
-Facilitation of work of Project team members in their activities.
-Any other tasks as maybe necessary assigned by the project
Qualifications
-Excellent knowledge, love of Jericho and resident of Jericho or vicinity,
-Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Tourism Development or Regional Development.
-At least 3 years of working experience in business or development organizations
-Good spoken and writing English and Arabic with skills in making presentation and report on project activities.
-Good PC skills (Word, Excel and Power point)
-Working experience in Participatory community development (e.g. PRA, SWOT analysis) will be an asset
For the position the following traits will be an asset
-Good team working skills and ability to work under pressure with multi-task to meet deadlines.
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills with stakeholders and community partners.
