With the programme “More Job Opportunities II”, Germany supports universities in the Palestinian Territories in providing higher education programmes that are guided by the demands of the labour market, thus benefiting companies and increasing the graduate’s employability.
MJO II improves the quality and quantity of employment-oriented Dual Study B. Sc. Degree programs and supports the Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron in designing and implementing the two Dual Study programs “Financial Technologies”, “Renewable Energy Engineering”, and “Business Technology” which are developed in close cooperation with private sector companies. In the process, the university's capacity and its academic and administrative staff are further developed, and suitable governance structures are created.
At the same time, MJO II is advising the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research how to increase the access to and the quality of employment-oriented higher education programs in the Palestinian territories.
In order to support the MJO II program, we are looking for a full-time (100%).
“Junior Education and Youth Advisor”
Tasks and Functions include but are not limited to:
- Support the implementation of Dual Studies programs:
- Support the project team in organizational and administrative in various tasks related to the management of/communication with partners, contractors, and beneficiaries.
- Support the project team in knowledge management, team organization and internal/external communication, including PR and marketing.
- Organize and coordinate the project related internal and external events (incl. workshops, events, meetings and conferences) in coordination with the project team and partners.
- Assist in procurement and contracting, including drafting Terms of Reference, researching service providers, and monitoring the delivery of goods and services.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for project counterparts in collaboration with logistics and travel officers.
- Plan and implement youth-focused activities and initiatives to support the professional and personal development of Dual Studies students.
- Support the implementation of mentorship programs, ensuring alignment with student needs and program objectives.
- Green Skills & Labor Market Development:
- Support research, material preparation, and trend analysis related to sustainability and green skills in education.
- Digital Skills & Innovation in Education:
- Assist in integrating digital learning tools, developing content, and supporting virtual learning environments.
- General Responsibilities
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management within the scope of the role.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in supporting evolving project needs.
- Provide logistical support for events, workshops, and training sessions.
- Assist in preparing materials and presentations for events and training.
- Coordinate participant registration, communication, and event evaluations.

Required qualifications, competences and experience are considered an asset:
- BA in Education, Information Technology, International Development, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ professional experience in a comparable position, ideally related to higher education, university cooperation
- Basic understanding of dual studies or work-integrated learning in higher education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Interest in or exposure to integrating green skills into educational programs or labor market initiatives.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools, online platforms, and technologies used in education, such as virtual classrooms, LMS, or VR/simulation labs.
- Prior experience in an educational or technical support role is a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge in graphic design and/or digital marketing is a strong asset.
- Eagerness to learn about emerging technologies in education and sustainability.
- Creative and proactive with a keen attention to detail.
