Business Alliance is hiring! We’re looking for an Accountant to join our team in Ramallah, Palestine.
- Reporting to The Head of Finance and Admin.
- Starting date: As soon as possible.
- Location: Resident of Ramallah & Albireh Governorate
- Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
- Perform bookkeeping and allocations activities to accurately reconcile accounting transactions and all other relevant accounting balances
- Maintain a tracking for projects and cost centers in the accounting system.
- Assist the head of finance and admin in preparing projects and annual budgets
- Prepare/generate financial reports and statements for management review and information.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly staff payroll, ensuring accuracy of all calculations including Taxes and adherence to laws and regulations.
- Follow up account payable and account receivables on a daily basis, and handle a draft booking for suppliers, customers, consultants and employees.
- Prepare all vouchers, checks and payment transfers, ensuring supporting documentation is complete, correct and adheres to policies and procedures.
- Handle bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Observe and follow up with the Value Added Tax (VAT) Dept. and prepare monthly periodical statements.
- Assist the head of finance and admin quarterly and yearly closing.
- Ensure proper general company filing (Finance, Admin, Contracts, etc) and maintain a hard and soft archiving system.
- Follow up company assets and their depreciation.
- Facilitate internal & external financial audits as required.
- Conduct different procurement, accounting, and admin tasks in the field at relevant entities (Banks, Ministries and customers).
- Provide general administrative support to the company.

- Special Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong computer skills in particular MS Word, MS Excel
- Good command of English is a must.
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems.
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
