MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian development and training institution established in January 1989 and registered by law as a non-profit organization. The main office is located in Ramallah and the other branch offices are located in Gaza and Jenin. MA’AN's work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of human resources for sustainable development, which incorporates values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.

MAAN Development Centre in partnership with NRC (Norwegian refugee council) implementing a project “Humanitarian response to the most vulnerable population affected by extreme poverty, humanitarian crisis, food insecurity, and violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL)/International Human Rights Law (IHRL) in the Gaza Strip, funded by GAC”

The activity includes communication with communities to reach out to 525 individuals, comprising 35 groups of participants, 15 persons in each group. It is worth mentioning that the ideal time for each awareness session is two hours. The general purpose of the activity is to improve child and family resilience through community-based awareness among the targeted individuals and caregivers and increase their knowledge on protection topics in general. The meetings will be conducted in community-supported and child-friendly family centers (CBO’s partners), whereas each group of individuals will be targeted within the CBO’s locations across Gaza Strip.
