PURPOSE
The key objective of the assignment is to support the Oxfam Security team in ensuring the safety and
accountability of all staff by meticulously tracking and coordinating staff movements, while
monitoring the security context.

Key Responsibilities:
Movement Tracking & Coordination
- Log in all designated movements on the Humanitarian Notification System platform according to
the movement plan shared by Logistics.
- Coordinate with field teams to schedule movements, ensuring alignment with security protocols.
- Monitor and log all staff movements in real-time using tracking tools (GPS systems,
WhatsApp/SMS text messages).
- Maintain up-to-date movement plans and ensure all departures and arrivals are recorded.
- Report and alert in case of loss of contact according to the security framework.
Security Monitoring
- Continuously monitor security channels for updates on locations in which teams are traveling or
are planning to travel according to the movement plan.
- Provide timely alerts to staff and management about potential threats or incidents.
- Liaise with local security networks to gather and disseminate relevant security information.
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all movement-related communications.
- Prepare daily movement reports and incident logs for review by the Security Adviser.
- Ensure that all communication equipment is functional, handed over and staff are trained in its
use.
- Proactively reach out to the team leader in case of loss of contact.
Training & Capacity Building
- Conduct regular briefings for staff on movement protocols and security procedures with support
of the Senior security Officer.
- Train new staff on the use of tracking tools and communication equipment.
- Assist in organizing drills to test the effectiveness of movement tracking and emergency
response plans.
Background and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in security management, Logistics, or any related field.
• Previous experience in logistics, security or in a similar role is an advantage.
• Previous knowledge in using tracking software and communication tools.
• Understanding of security protocols in high-risk environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Very good skills in Arabic and English.
Contractual Terms
• This is a casual employment; individuals will be fully responsible for their own health and safety.
• The Tracking Assistant will directly report to the Senior Security Officer.
• The Tracking Assistant will be based in Gaza City or Deir Al-Balah, with potential travel to other offices
or field sites.
• Duty may require working extended hours, including weekends, in response to emergencies.
• The daily rate for the Tracking Assistant will be 233.53 ILS per day (8 hours), including field
transportation and communication expenses.
