Job Summary

The Feed Mill Sales Manager will lead sales efforts for our feed products, focusing on building and maintaining customer relationships, driving sales growth, and achieving revenue targets. This role requires a strong understanding of the animal nutrition industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with production and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to expand market presence and increase sales of feed products

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new client prospects in the agricultural sector

Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, adjusting strategies accordingly

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team, providing training and support to ensure they meet performance targets

Collaboration: Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products and high levels of customer satisfaction

Sales Reporting: Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management.

Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our feed products and their benefits to effectively communicate with customers

Industry Networking: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote products and expand professional connections

Qualifications

Education: preferably Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in the agricultural or feed industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets

Skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent negotiation and closing abilities

Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities

Knowledge:

Familiarity with animal nutrition, feed formulations, and regulatory compliance is preferred
