Internship Opportunity

Chemonics International Ltd., a leader in global development, seeks IT Support Interns for its USAID-funded Enhanced Palestinian Justice Program (EPJP) to work for Family Courts in different West Bank Districts.

Position Objectives, Basic Functions/Critical Tasks:

-    Help SJD IT department in day-to-day activities at the department including, but not limited to:

-    Server and PC setup and maintenance
-    SAN storage setup and maintenance
-    Data recovery activities
-    Network maintenance and installation including network points, routers, switches and access points
-    Security system setup and maintenance including firewalls, antivirus packages and camera security systems
-    Software applications installations and maintenance
-    ADALA system support, installation and maintenance
-    Operating system support and maintenance
-    Website support and maintenance
-    Printing and scanning equipment setup and maintenance
-    UPS power systems maintenance
-    All other IT-related support activities.

-    Participate in preparing equipment, networks and software applications pertaining to the installation of the ADALA system in all targeted SJD courts.
-    Travel to various family courts in West Bank to help in the installation of, troubleshooting of, and training on IT systems there.

Required Qualifications Skills

-    A university degree in IT-related field including IT, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or any other related field.
-    At least 1-year experience in Microsoft server 2012 networks.
-    Some knowledge in Linux-based servers will be an advantage.
-    IT support skills including PC hardware and operating systems and network installations and cabling.
-    Some knowledge in Cisco-based environment will also be advantageous.
-    Good report writing skills in English.
