The Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre is a charitable, non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Jerusalem working on the empowerment of children with disabilities and their families in their communities through physical rehabilitation and inclusive education. JPBC is recruiting for the position of:
Accountant
Role Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the daily accounting and financial operations of the Centre. The candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and donor regulations.
Reports to: Finance Manager
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Record daily journal entries and ensure timely and accurate data entry in compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain updated records for assets, prepayments, and accruals.
- Prepare supplier payments in accordance with approved procedures, and follow up on the timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing donor financial reports and ensure alignment with grant agreements.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations and assist with reporting to authorities.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Assist in preparing monthly payroll and related documentation.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for easy retrieval and reference.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Proficiency in Arabic, English, and Hebrew.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good knowledge with Israeli labor, tax, and financial regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driving license and the ability to travel within the country
- Good communication and team work skills
- Advance Knowledge with financial Software Systems.
