Palestine Trade CENTER (PalTrade)
PalTrade was established in 1998, as a non-profit development organization, which was mandated as the Palestinian National Trade Promotion Organization. Recently, PalTrade has evolved into an export development organization with a mission to lead the development and sustainable increase of Palestinian exports as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth; and has been instrumental in leading the way to establish a National Export Strategy. PalTrade provides a wide range of support in the areas of export development and market intelligence, export promotion, and export policy and advocacy.
PalTrade, PSC and PFI are partnering to implement the project titled “Creating a Competitive Edge of the Palestinian MSMEs in the Local and Potential Export Markets” in West Bank and Gaza. The Project aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs by targeting selected priority sectors/products to increase their market share locally and internationally and will focus on improving the competitiveness of a selected number of companies.
Al Wafa Plastic Industries Company has been established in 2004 as a part of Al Junaidi Group, the company originally established to manufacture the needed plastic packages for Al Junaidi Dairy Company and its affiliate companies. It is considered as the largest plastic producer in Palestine. In the year 2014 the investors have decided to develop and expand the production lines of the company and imported a Swiss production line with a cost around 1 Million EURO to enhance the capabilities of the company and to produce wider variety of plastic containers and packages in addition to the plastic covers of the different packages including the bottle covers, the new purchased technology is capable to produce the packages with lighter weight which decrease the raw materials used in the production process by around 20% and accelerate the production speed and though the production costs has also decreased which led to enhancing the competitiveness of the company`s products.
The beneficiary needs a website to elaborate more and enhance the awareness of their products and its advantages in addition to the capabilities of the company and its management. Accordingly, it must be engineered to anticipate and efficiently respond to their individual needs. To satisfy this objective, the website needs to embrace a navigation strategy, logical pathways, and destination pages that deliver easy to access and relevant content that includes meaningful response mechanisms.
The site must be developed in a fully responsive mode, ensuring that it can be easily and efficiently displayed on desktop, laptop, tablet and handheld (phone) devices, responds to the most popular browsers in use within each target market, and provides suitable translation functions.
The site must be developed using the latest stable PHP release under one of the top web development frameworks, and using HTML5, CSS3, jQuery v3.3.1 and MySQL Database.
PURPOSE AND EXPECTED RESULTS
A strong online information portal (website) is needed to raise visibility and awareness of clients, to provide client with an online presence and to provide current and prospective customers vital information about the business operations.
An easy to access, credible and content rich website is needed as a resource that will reach and communicate with a varied and growing number of customers for prompt further inquiries. So, this website is needed to answer questions, provide depth of information, facilitate meaningful contact, and keep all audiences informed and updated regarding the company’s activities and achievements.
