General Background

Oxfam is an international confederation counting 19 organizations working together with partners and local communities in more than 90 countries. Oxfam has been working in the Occupied Palestinian Territories since the 1950s; a country office was established in Jerusalem in the 1980s. Oxfam mainly works in the most vulnerable communities in Gaza, East Jerusalem, and Area C.

Project Background

Masarouna is a regional program designed to harness the potential of young people as catalysts for collective action. The program’s primary objective is to empower and mobilize young people towards advocating for expanded freedom of choice and the utmost respect for their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Through innovative strategies for change, Masarouna seeks to amplify the voices of young people, ensuring their perspectives and concerns are considered in decision-making processes. Masarouna recognizes the importance of a robust civil society in championing SRHR. The program is dedicated to enhancing civil society's capacity to advocate for youth SRHR and catalyze positive change through collaborative efforts.

Technical description of the required services

Oxfam is organizing a closing event for the Masarouna Project which is a public speaking event that started primarily with the intention of inspiring and influencing others in health/SRHR, civic space, influencing and advocacy. It will focus on highlighting different speakers, success stories, and influential stories for young men and women, Persons with Disability (PWD) as well as the work and material produced by the partners under the project. The speakers will cover issues including health and sexual and reproductive health and rights, success stories, and inspirations from young men and women in a creative and straightforward manner. The event will include several activities over five hours, from 09:30 to 14:00. The event will start with opening speeches and have several activities throughout the day. During the day, a documentary that reflects the results of the project and its positive impact on the partners as well as the people we have worked with will be presented. In addition to that, we will need a branded gallery space to showcase the 7 Masarouna partners’ work and material that were produced under the project. The day of the event will take place on Wednesday 10th September 2025. Further the location will be in Ramallah and should be well known, accessible, and able to accommodate at least 100 people. Simultaneously in Gaza will be broadcasting live from the 2 partner locations as well a prerecorded segments incorporated.

The purpose of the required services

The main objective of this procurement process is to contract an event management service to organize the event, where the services will include designing and equipping the corners and preparing the hall with all required services, including (lighting system, screening system, sound system, live broadcasting, screening materials and documenting the event) in addition to the lounge and lunch. In addition to incorporating and collecting / editing pre-recorded videos from Gaza, to be screened at the event.
