Development of SRHR toolkit under Masarouna

  • General Background 

Oxfam is an international confederation counting 19 organizations working together with partners and local communities in more than 90 countries. Oxfam has been working in the Occupied Palestinian Territories since the 1950s; a country office was established in Jerusalem in the 1980s. Oxfam mainly works in the most vulnerable communities in Gaza, East Jerusalem, and Area C. 

  • Project Background 

Masarouna is a regional program designed to harness the potential of young people as catalysts for collective action. The program’s primary objective is to empower and mobilize young people towards advocating for expanded freedom of choice and the utmost respect for their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Through innovative strategies for change, Masarouna seeks to amplify the voices of young people, ensuring their perspectives and concerns are considered in decision-making processes. Masarouna recognizes the importance of a robust civil society in championing SRHR. The program is dedicated to enhancing civil society's capacity to advocate for youth SRHR and catalyze positive change through collaborative efforts.  

  • Technical description of the required services 

Oxfam in OPT is commissioning the development of a comprehensive, interactive, visually appealing, and creative SRHR Toolkit targeting youth for printing and online use. This toolkit aims to centralize knowledge, tools, and references to serve as an accessible and practical resource for youth, partners, and raise awareness around SRHR. The toolkit will compile and organize existing information and resources from all 8 Masarouna partners, making it a reliable reference tool that is easily accessible to all youth and the content should be in Arabic.

 The purpose of the required services 

The services will include designing the toolkit with a visually appealing design, user-friendly and SRHR-relevant content, and compiling and organizing relevant materials produced under Masarouna to be printed and used digitally.

Toolkit Structure

The toolkit will be divided into approximately 7 thematic modules, each building on existing Masarouna publications and incorporating interactive and accessible elements for youth (subject to change based on the existing materials).  Suggested modules to include content around the following topics:

Each section should include youth-friendly visuals, infographics, interactive design elements, and QR codes linking to relevant Masarouna partner publications or videos.
