The Arab Water Experts Network (AWEN) intends to recruit a Project Manager in Ramallah for executing the Study "development of strategic interventions for improving water and wastewater services in the Palestinian refugee camps", from grant received from the European Commission, through the Palestine Liberation Organization represented by the Ministry of Finance.

The Project Manager will perform the following tasks:

Provision of support to the Project in terms of project management, procurement, financial management and other issues related to project implementation in accordance with the EU’s rules and procedures.
Coordination and management of recruited consultants and resources, including monitoring of activities carried out under the Project.
Operational communication with Project partners from Refugees, Government ministries/ authorities, UNRWA, the Department of Refugee Affair, as well as the Ministry of Finance, and other project stakeholders and related agencies;
Planning, supervision and overall responsibility for implementation of the project, reporting, monitoring and assessment,
Management of budget, including formulation of budget requests and management of financial resources;
organization of staffing ( admin assistance, individual expert in hosting countries) , evaluation and career development;
checking and initialing of all documents under the Project;
Performance of other assignments as required under the Project.

متطلبات الوظيفة

Required Education and Qualifications
University degree in engineering;
Experience of work in the implementation of projects in water supply and sanitation for at least 8years;
Experience of management work at least 3 years;
Knowledge of EU rules and procedures relating to financial management and procurement practices is an asset ;
Excellent command of English
Experience of work with international agencies;
Excellent interpersonal communications and coordination skills, and proven ability to work constructively and under pressure with a variety of stakeholders to achieve common goals

المؤهلات العلمي:
بكالوريوس أو ماجستير في الهندسة.

الخبرات و المهارات المطلوبة:
خبرة عملية في تنفيذ مشاريع تزويد خدمات المياه والصرف الصحي لمدة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات.
خبرة في ادارة المشاريع لمدة ثلاث سنوات على الأقل.
يفضل أن يكون على معرفة بقواعد وإجراءات الإدارة المالية وممارسات الشراء الخاصة بالاتحاد الأوروبي .
معرفة جيدة بكتابة التقارير باللغة اإلنجليزية.
خبرة في العمل مع المنظمات الدولية.
قدرة جيدة على الاتصال و التواصل و تطوير افكار بناءة و العمل تحد الضغط مع الشركاء

الشروط التعاقدية:
مدة العقد: سنة واحدة قابل للتجديد لمرة واحدة فقط
في اسرع وقت ممكن

Time Frame and Application Procedure

The Project Manger will be for 1 year extendable as demand necessity, on a full-time basis. The expected start date for the position is the 01 September 2023.
