Drosos Foundation (www.drosos.org) is committed to enabling disadvantaged people to live a life of dignity. Together with partner organisations, it develops and supports projects that focus on the development of life skills of disadvantaged children, young people and young adults through promoting creativity and economic independence. The Foundation is currently active in Switzerland and Germany as well as throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Reporting to the Country Director (CD), and to financially manage and monitor our operations in Palestine, the Foundation is looking for a

Finance and Administration Manager - FM (Full Time)


Main duties           

Responsibilities for accounting and finance of the Ramallah office include

-       follow-up the financial and accounting transactions and establish financial reports
-       support the CD on budgeting and financial planning
-       support project managers on the financial controlling of projects funded by the Foundation
-       deal with the external auditors
-       coordinate with the financial department at Foundations headquarters

Managing the administrative aspects of the Ramallah office includes

-       safeguard fulfilment of duties of the Foundation to the authorities in Ramallah
-       manage staff administration (social security, payroll administration, income taxes, etc.)
-       manage and develop office infrastructure and inventory

Providing support to partner organisations includes

-       Analyse the financial and administrative capacities of potential partners
-       Control and evaluate the budgets of partners
-       Strengthen partners' skills in financial management and administrative
-       Monitor and evaluate partners' budgets and financial reports in accordance with contracts and external audit reports

Requirements

-       Master’s degree or equivalent
-       At least 7 years of relevant professional experience
-       Strong working knowledge of English (oral and written) and fluency in Arabic is required
-       Deep knowledge of Palestinian laws and regulations within duties’ related fields
-       Strong self-motivation, team-spirit and flexibility to work in a learning organisation
-       Full computer literacy
