The Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation (Armaa) is a community based initiative located in East Jerusalem. Armaa began in 2014 to respond to the many relevant socio-economic and cultural needs of Jerusalem’s families and children.
The Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation is seeking to recruit 2 individuals for the position of Projects Assistant full time/part time (3 days/week) starting in March/April 2017.
Purpose of the job:
The successful candidate will provide support to the Armaa Jerusalem different projects to be completed at the right time, regardless of challenges that may be encountered. This challenging role will involve the day-to-day administration of project activities, assistance with introducing the foundation to different donors and stakeholders, monitoring of projects including the evaluation process.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Write letters and send them to appropriate stakeholders, receive incoming mails and calls and take proper action.
-Create specific strategies for easier and effective execution of projects and activities.
-Maintain contacts of potential stakeholders who may be interested in investing in projects.
-Follow up tasks assigned to project workers as instructed by the director/ Deputy
-Supervise project workers and ensure that they stick to project specification and guidelines
-Keep records of all information related to project for documentation, clarification and presentation to management
-Draft project proposal ideas and present them to the director with convincing proof for approval.
-Draft project budget on a monthly basis and ensure that it meets all necessary protocols.
-Work with Armaa Theater team and schedule events for schools, organizations and other beneficiaries. Keep an effective activities trail.
-Perform other related duties as assigned to support programme implementation.
Creative, energetic and self-motivated individuals.
Customer oriented with strong team working skills.
Understanding of financial procedures specially in the project cycle.
Proven ability to handle challenging work load and to work extra hours.
Proficient communicator in Arabic and English with strong writing skills.
Holder of Jerusalem ID and driving license. Owning a car is an advantage.
