Women for Life invites applications from all qualified candidates for the position of:
WFL is seeking a qualified candidate for the “Hayat- LIFE”: Social and economical empowerment of women victims of violence, in Salfit and Qalqilia”
Women for Life (WFL) is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental Palestinian organization. WFL was founded in 2002 and aims to empower all Palestinian women, specifically the women who are victims of violence in the Salfit and Qalqilia governorates. The objective of WFL is to better enable women to improve their own lives and their ability to live in a society free from violence; a society which is dominated by justice and equality. This would give women more opportunities to access their right to education, their right to work, and their right to efficiently reach the highest levels and decision-making positions in their respective fields, while also being able to contribute to amendments to the laws and legislation that are related to them and the preservation of their rights, regardless of what stage of life they are in.
Description of Responsibilities:
-Follow up on the implementation of the program activities and administration.
-Prepare reports, plans and schedules required for the activities.
-Follow-up of financial budgets related to the implemented activities.
-Coordinate with all interested parties in the project.
-Conduct field visits for the implementation of the project workplan, that are in line with the activities and the budget.
-Share ideals that allign with the vision of WFL, as an organization that defends women’s rights as human rights, and to promote the organisation’s leadership as a model of women’s leadership..
Required Academic and Professional Qualifications/ Work Experience
-At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in human science or management.
-A minimum of five years proven experience in the field of project management and working with NGO’s.
-Agreement with WFL’s vision, mission, and objectives.
-Excellent English and Arabic writing and speaking abilities.
-Experience in the areas of human rights and women’s rights.
-Experience in preparing, implementing, and monitoring an organization‘s workplan.
-Good writing and reporting skills.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Ability to work under pressure and stress, and an ability to work with a team, ensuring positive interaction.
-Ability to work with the different target groups, and all the governmental and non-governmental institutions.
-Ability to move through the West Bank areas.
-Excellent computer skills and the ability to use different programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint ….etc).
